Accessibility

We are making every effort to ensure our website is as accessible as possible to our customers including blind or partially sighted customers who use screen readers.

This website has been developed to meet Level Two recommendations made by the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and some of the criteria from Level Three.

We have been working with the following organisations to help us achieve our levels of accessibility including:

  • AbilityNet who test accessibility for blind and partially sighted people
  • SiteMorse

As part of the design process for flybmi.com we:

  • Ensure that navigation throughout the site works in a consistent way
  • Never use colour as the only way to convey information
  • Use a standard web font to make it easy for all to read
  • In most cases, the size of the font can be adjusted according to the users needs, using standard browser and operating system options
  • Work with BrowseAloud who offer free software to help partially sighted visitors
